History on the move:

A&D House Movers transported the 89 year-old Gary home (Mr. Gary founded the Gary Job Corp) in San Marcos, Texas to a new location.  Apartments will be going up where the house was previously located.



Largest Structure Moved in Williamson County

1986

Moved from Southwestern University

This building was moved across the university golf course and half mile east on county road

Weight approximately 270,000 lbs.



Hearne Depot

Depot was moved January 2001

This wooden depot was raised off brick foundation and moved across 2 railroad tracks on Hwy 79 to new location as museum in Hearne, Texas



The Sunday Sun, September 1, 2002:

The Eason House on Ash Street in Georgetown, Texas was moved about two blocks away, to College Street.

Southwestern University

Religious Activities Center

Limestone Building  - Moved in 2 Pieces
Weighing 630,000lbs. and 510,000lbs.

Building was rejoined together and each stone that had been removed was replaced back to it's original place in the new location.



Moody Depot

Depot was built in the early 1900's in Moody, Texas.  The depot was being relocated for the third time to its new location at the Old Santa Fe Depot, Temple, Texas.  The depot was moved in 2 sections each 150 feet long, 30 feet wide and 23 feet tall.
